Mecklenburg-Vorpommern expands digital infrastructure with new Schwerin data center

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is expanding its digital infrastructure with the construction of a new data center in Schwerin. The facility, operated by DVZ M-V GmbH, is designed to provide secure and highly available IT systems for the state administration.

Finance and Digitalization Minister Dr. Heiko Geue stated that the new center provides a sovereign foundation for the state's digital capabilities, creating the necessary capacity for AI-based digital administration and ensuring control over data protection and technology use.
