Meda honors Briantea84 athletes for wheelchair basketball silver medal

The Municipality of Meda held a ceremony at Palameda to honor three athletes from the Briantea84 wheelchair basketball club for winning a silver medal at the World Championships in Ottawa, Canada.

Athletes Filippo Carossino, Simone De Maggi, and Andrea Giaretti were presented with plaques by Mayor Luca Santambrogio and Vice Mayor Stefania Tagliabue. The recognition follows the team's performance with the Italian National FIPIC team during the tournament held from September 9 to 19, 2026.
