Meda launches student discount program for local businesses

The Municipality of Meda has launched 'Io studio a Meda', a new initiative designed to support students and local businesses for the 2026/2027 school year. The program provides students of all levels—from nursery school to high school—with a free membership card that grants access to discounts and promotions at participating local businesses.

To participate, local merchants can join for free by submitting an application by September 15, 2026. Eligible businesses include clothing stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, bookstores, and various service providers such as hair salons and fitness centers. Participating shops will receive an identification sticker for their storefronts, and a full list of participating vendors will be published on the municipal website.

The membership cards will be distributed through the municipal periodical 'Meda Notizie' on September 28 and will also be made available via electronic school registers. The initiative aims to ease family expenses related to the new school year while strengthening the connection between the student population and the local economy.
