Medeama SC allocates $1.5 million budget and targets CAF Champions League group stage
Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have earmarked a US$1.5 million budget for its 2026/27 CAF Champions League campaign, aiming to reach the group stage and compete with Africa’s top clubs. Communications Director Benjamin Graham said the funding reflects the club’s commitment to a deep run in the continental competition.
The club is also close to completing the signing of Nations FC striker Emmanuel Annor, with a club‑to‑club agreement already in place. Annor, a 23‑year‑old forward known for his pace and goal‑scoring, would join other recent arrivals such as midfielder Emmanuel Boateng and attacker Dominic Amponsah as Medeama builds a squad to defend its domestic title and perform in the Champions League.
