Bogotá imposes road closures for Festival de Verano and Bogotá Gospel
The Bogotá District Mobility Secretariat announced that, because of the large‑scale Festival de Verano 2026 and the Bogotá Gospel music event, the city will enforce road closures, diversions and temporary mobility restrictions around the Parque Metropolitano Simón Bolívar. Main arteries such as Avenida Calle 63 and Carrera 68, as well as nearby bike lanes and pedestrian paths, will be partially or fully blocked during the peak hours of the events. The measures are intended to manage the expected thousands of attendees and to keep traffic flowing safely.
Authorities have called on residents and visitors to plan alternative routes and adjust travel plans, noting that the restrictions will be in place only for the duration of the festivals and that normal traffic will resume afterward.
