Medellín Book and Culture Festival celebrates 20 years

The 20th edition of the Medellín Book and Culture Festival will take place from September 11 to September 20. The event features over 3,600 free activities, including book presentations, workshops, cinema, and music, hosted at venues such as the Jardín Botánico and Parque Explora.

In addition to its cultural programming, the festival will serve as a collection center for donations to support families affected by the earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10. Under the campaign ‘No pases la página, la reconstrucción apenas comienza’, the city government is organizing collection points for non-perishable food, hygiene products, clothing, and pet food.

Donations can be made daily between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at designated locations like the Orquideorama. Financial contributions can be made via transfers through the Corporación Presentes or in cash at various bookstore and gastronomic points within the festival.
