Medellín: Coca-Cola executive killed during robbery

Esteban Ramírez Parra, a 37-year-old sales manager for Coca-Cola FEMSA, was fatally shot during a robbery in the Belén sector of Medellín. The incident occurred while Ramírez was traveling in a vehicle with his sister, Natalia, following a meal near Carrera 70.

According to reports, the attack involved a ‘fleteo’ tactic where a motorcyclist intercepted the vehicle, feigning a collision. When the sister lowered the window to address the situation, the assailant snatched a gold chain from her neck and stole a mobile phone. When Ramírez raised his hands and asked, ‘Which chain?’, the assailant shot him.

Medellín Mayor Federico Gutiérrez expressed his condolences and stated he has spoken with the Police Director to expedite the investigation, promising that justice will be served. The victim's family and friends have called for the immediate capture of those responsible to prevent impunity for the crime.
