Medellín de Bravo issues urgent livestock sanitary verification call
The Medellín de Bravo municipal government, in coordination with the Secretariat of Agricultural, Rural, and Fishing Development (SEDARPA), has issued an urgent call for livestock producers to complete mandatory sanitary inspections.
As part of a sweeping campaign to prevent and control bovine tuberculosis and brucellosis, authorities will intensify sanitary verification visits across local production units. The initiative applies to all local cattle producers, including both members and non-members of agricultural associations, provided they have not yet completed the required inspections.
To schedule veterinary visits to ranches or production units, interested producers must visit the offices of the Directorate of Agricultural Promotion on September 21 and 22. Officials emphasized that ensuring cattle are properly tagged and verified is essential for disease control and protecting the regional livestock economy.
