Medellín's Feria de las Flores 2026 sets dates for Silleteros and Chivas parades

The 63rd Fiesta Nacional de la Flor will be held in Belén de Escobar, Argentina, from 3 to 12 October 2026, featuring Alstroemeria as the emblem flower, exhibitions, musical shows and the selection of new ambassadors.

In Medellín, Colombia, the Feria de las Flores 2026 will close with the 69th Desfile de Silleteros on Sunday 9 August, a two‑to‑seven‑pm procession that will follow Avenida Regional, Puente de Guayaquil, the Soterrado del Río, Avenida del Ferrocarril and Plaza Mayor. The same festival will also showcase the Desfile de las Chivas, where more than 60 traditional “chiva” buses will be decorated with floral arrangements and parade through the city’s main avenues.

Bogotá Fashion Week has opened its call for the 2027 edition. Designers and brands may submit proposals until 9 August 2026; selected participants will receive free mentorship, business‑lab support and opportunities to meet international buyers at the May 2027 event in the Ágora Bogotá Convention Center.
