Medellín road closures announced for Heroes of the Fatherland parade

Medellín will experience various temporary road closures due to the Desfile de Héroes de la Patria. The event is organized to honor the Colombian Military Forces and the National Police.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m., starting from the Museo del Agua (near the EPM building) and covering a route of approximately 19 kilometers. The procession will include motorcycles, classic cars, and collection vehicles.

Major thoroughfares expected to face staggered closures include Calle 42, Avenida San Juan, Carrera 65, Avenida 80, Calle 12 Sur, Avenida El Poblado, and Avenida 33. Local mobility authorities recommend that residents plan their travel in advance and seek alternative routes to avoid congestion.
