MEDFEST to host medical workshops and health prevention in Plzeň

MEDFEST is scheduled to take place on October 3, 2026, at the Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Plzeň. The event aims to combine medicine, prevention, and entertainment for both children and adults.

The program features over 30 practical workshops where visitors can undergo preventive screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, and lung capacity measurements. Attendees can also learn about physical fitness, stress levels, and proper self-examination techniques. Practical demonstrations will include resuscitation training using mannequins, the use of automated defibrillators, and virtual reality experiences of orthopedic surgeries and pulmonary ventilation.

For children, the event includes a simulated emergency response demonstration featuring ambulances and firefighting equipment, as well as a “teddy bear hospital.” The day will conclude with musical performances from various artists and a medical slam poetry session.
