Media executives appointed at NOW and Canal do Benja

Frederico Roque de Pinho has assumed the role of executive director at NOW, a news channel owned by Medialivre. Pinho aims to establish the channel as a leader in the information television segment. He noted that the channel has already begun to compete closely with major players like SIC Notícias and CNN Portugal, specifically highlighting a recent performance where the channel nearly tied with SIC Notícias during prime time.

In Brazil, the sports platform Canal do Benja has appointed Rodrigo Tadeu Costa as its new marketing director. Costa, who brings two decades of experience from companies such as Disney and CNN Brasil, is tasked with strengthening the channel's commercial structure and increasing its connection to the advertising market. This move comes as the digital platform reports significant engagement, including 103 million views.
