Media figures Barbara Schöneberger and Norah O’Donnell make career shifts

German television presenter Barbara Schöneberger has been named ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at the YouTube Festival in Berlin. The 52-year-old media professional, who has been a staple of German television for years, has recently expanded her presence into digital content creation. She currently manages a YouTube channel with over 40,000 followers and has stated that her next goal is to reach 100,000 subscribers.

In the United States, CBS News is restructuring its morning news program. Journalist Norah O’Donnell is set to return to ‘CBS Mornings’ on September 8, joining Gayle King and Nate Burleson. The move aims to stabilize viewership for the program, which has recently trailed behind competitors NBC’s ‘Today’ and ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’. The network plans to shift its content strategy by reducing lighter magazine segments in favor of live discussions, news analysis, and interviews with key newsmakers.
