Media industry undergoes significant personnel and structural shifts

The media landscape in Colombia has experienced significant personnel shifts across radio and television. Notable departures include Vanessa de la Torre from Caracol Radio, Gustavo Gómez from 6 AM, and several journalists from ESPN and Caracol TV.

On the recruitment side, RCN has added Vanessa de la Torre, while Hernán Peláez and De Francisco have joined RCN. Other movements include Julio Sánchez joining Caracol and the creation of AS Colombia as an internet-based platform. Additionally, the media sector is seeing structural changes, such as the merger of RCN Radio and La FM into FM Plus and El Espectador transitioning to a print-only format on Sundays.
