Media Maratón Andina 2026 to be held in Chía

The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, supported by the Chía Mayor's Office, will host the third edition of the Media Maratón Andina 2026 on December 6. The event aims to gather approximately 10,000 runners for 5, 10, and 21 kilometer distances.

In addition to the athletic competition, the event is designed to stimulate the economy of Bogotá and Cundinamarca through commercial, gastronomic, and cultural activities. Previous editions in Zipaquirá, Cogua, and Fusagasugá have historically generated significant employment and commercial expectations.

The upcoming program in Chía includes a multi-sector commercial fair, a gastronomic fair featuring Peru as a guest country, and various cultural displays. These activities are intended to integrate sports with tourism and business development in the Sabana Centro province.
