Maša Draganić to present autobiography in Bijeljina

Maša Draganić will present her autobiographical book, “Odbijam da umrem” (I Refuse to Die), at the Semberija Cultural Center in Bijeljina on November 8. The book chronicles her personal struggle with cancer, motherhood, and resilience.

Diagnosed with breast cancer at age 28, Draganić later faced cervical cancer, which eventually spread to her liver and brain, resulting in 36 metastases at one point. Her medical journey included healthcare systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, though she currently receives treatment in Austria. The memoir addresses the challenges of living with a severe diagnosis, the physical changes caused by illness, and her experiences with medical assessments.
