Media personalities launch new entertainment programs in Venezuela and Dominican Republic

Filmmaker Carlos Daniel Alvarado has announced the return of the program ‘La Hora del Cine’ to Radio Nacional de Venezuela (RNV), starting Wednesday, October 7. The show will feature a specialized technical team to analyze domestic and international industry news, providing reviews of films and series available on platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Apple TV.

Alvarado noted a strong local interest in Venezuelan productions, citing audience studies following his film ‘Un viaje de película’. He highlighted that despite economic challenges and sanctions, Venezuelan works are increasingly appearing on international catalogs like MUBI and Prime Video.

In the Dominican Republic, producer Alfonso Rodríguez is launching a new variety show titled ‘Bemberé’ on Color Visión, premiering Monday, October 5. The program is designed as a non-political entertainment space, featuring humor-based segments and a diverse cast including Juan Carlos Pichardo and Carmen Rodríguez. Rodríguez emphasized that the production is supported by positive outlooks from advertising agencies and new audience measurement data from Media Express.
