Media services in Czech Republic expand content offerings

Streaming and television services in the Czech Republic are expanding their content offerings. A popular operator has introduced a new thematic channel at no additional cost to subscribers. The new channel, which launched on October 5, focuses on horror and fantasy films to coincide with the Halloween season. Additionally, the operator has added two music channels and a Viasat True Crime station to its lineup without extra fees.

In the streaming sector, Disney+ has announced it will include NBA broadcasts as part of its standard subscription. Through its sister station ESPN, the service will offer selected regular season games, playoff matches, conference finals, and the NBA Finals starting from the 2026/27 season through the 2035/36 season. Unlike competitors that charge a premium for sports content, Disney+ will provide these broadcasts to all existing subscribers without additional fees. The coverage will feature English commentary and expert analysis.
