MediaMarkt and Saturn announce VAT discount promotion

MediaMarkt and Saturn are launching a recurring promotional event starting Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 6:00 AM. The sale, which runs until October 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM, offers a discount equivalent to the removal of the value-added tax (VAT).

While marketed as “giving back the VAT,” the actual discount on the gross price is 15.966% rather than 19%. The reduction is applied in the shopping cart and covers a wide range of products, including consumer electronics, household appliances, and smart home devices.

The promotion is exclusive to myMediaMarkt members, a free loyalty program. Certain brands and products are excluded from the offer, specifically Apple, AVM (FritzBox), and Sonos, as well as selected Samsung products.
