MediaMarkt launches VAT-free promotion on appliances

MediaMarkt is running a promotional campaign in Germany where the retailer covers the 19 percent value-added tax (VAT) on various products. The sale is scheduled to run until October 5 at 23:59.

Included in the promotion are several coffee machines from brands such as De’Longhi, Philips, and Siemens. The discounts are applied automatically in the shopping cart for customers with a free myMediaMarkt account, combining the VAT reduction with existing price cuts.

The promotion also extends to kitchen appliances, including the Ninja Creami Deluxe ice cream maker. Following the removal of the VAT, the price for the Ninja Creami Deluxe is expected to reach a record low of approximately 176.46 euros.
