Mediaset considers Christmas broadcast for L’Isola dei Famosi

Mediaset is reportedly considering a non-traditional broadcast window for the new edition of the reality show L’Isola dei Famosi. According to reports from the portal Davide Maggio, Canale 5 may air the program during the Christmas period to test its new format.

The upcoming edition features several significant changes, including a shift away from live broadcasts toward a factual format similar to Temptation Island. Selvaggia Lucarelli is set to host, with Alvin serving as a correspondent. The production has already been recorded in the Philippines.

Industry insiders suggest that broadcasting during the holiday season could be a strategic move to avoid intense competition and high viewership pressure, allowing the network to test the new formula in a less aggressive programming window.
