Mediaset uses AI video featuring real TikTok creator to announce series return

Mediaset has released an artificial intelligence-generated video featuring CEO Pier Silvio Berlusconi to announce the return of the Turkish soap opera ‘Far Away’ on Canale 5. The promotional clip, which has garnered over two million views, depicts an AI version of Berlusconi singing and dancing to Neapolitan music in a sunlit setting.

The video incorporates a clip from a real TikTok creator, known as @esauRita, who had previously gone viral with an ironic song requesting the return of the series. While the depiction of Berlusconi was entirely AI-generated, the creator was unaware that her original video would be used as a central element in the company’s official social media campaign.
