MediaTek launches Dimensity 9600 Pro flagship mobile chipsets

MediaTek has launched its flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro and Dimensity 9600M mobile chipsets during a Tech Day event in Kuala Lumpur. The Dimensity 9600 Pro features a 2+3+3 All Big Core CPU configuration, offering significant improvements in single-core and multi-core performance, alongside reduced power consumption. The chipset includes a dual-NPU architecture for proactive AI capabilities and supports high-end gaming and advanced imaging features. Manufacturers vivo and OPPO have confirmed their upcoming flagship smartphones, including the vivo X500 Series, will utilize the new chipset.

In other semiconductor and consumer electronics developments, Huawei released detailed architecture diagrams for its Kirin 9050 Pro chip, noting its successful mass production within the Chinese semiconductor industry. Meanwhile, Apple announced several new products, including the HomeView smart home hub, a new Apple TV 4K powered by the A19 chip, and the HomePod mini 2. Apple also introduced the Apple Home Collection, a series of smart home accessories developed in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric.
