In Turkey, home hemodialysis has become a vital option for patients with end-stage renal failure. While kidney transplantation remains the ideal treatment, many patients rely on hemodialysis due to organ shortages. Home hemodialysis, which has been covered by reimbursement in Turkey since 2010, offers a more effective alternative to the limited sessions provided in medical centers, potentially increasing survival rates and quality of life.

In the field of cardiovascular and dermatological health, new oral therapies are emerging. The U.S. FDA has approved Lipfendra (enlicitide), the first oral PCSK9 inhibitor, which significantly reduces LDL cholesterol in patients who do not respond sufficiently to statins. Additionally, the European Medicines Agency has recommended Icotyde (icotrokinra) for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. This daily tablet targets the interleukin-23 receptor, providing a non-injectable alternative to existing biological treatments.
