Healthcare infrastructure expands across Latin America and the Caribbean

Various healthcare facilities across Latin America and the Caribbean are undergoing significant upgrades, including new constructions, rehabilitations, and technological modernizations.

In Argentina, the town of Olaeta inaugurated the Ana María Delfino Health Center to provide local medical care. In Esteban Echeverría, the Santamarina Hospital is modernizing its laboratory with new equipment to digitize results and expand diagnostic capabilities. Additionally, the Samco of J. B. Molina is nearing 95% completion on a new building to replace deteriorating facilities.

In Venezuela, the Dr. Luis Razetti Hospital in Barinas is undergoing rehabilitation of its outpatient areas. In La Guaira, authorities are supervising the construction of four new operating rooms at the Macuto Maternal and Child Hospital following seismic damage. Meanwhile, in Monagas, a fumigation plan is underway in Cedeño to combat mosquito-borne diseases.

Other regional developments include the successful performance of the first cornea transplant at the Salvador B. Gautier Hospital in the Dominican Republic. In Uruguay, the Pereira Rossell Hospital has expanded its pediatric and neonatal capacity through new consulting rooms and intensive care beds. In Bolivia, the San Martín de Porres Health Center has been expanded with new consulting rooms and X-ray services in Montero.
