Medical Association of Messenia confirms all local clinics are licensed

Periklis Nikolakias, president of the Medical Association of Messenia, has stated that all operating medical clinics in the Messenia region are properly licensed. Following inquiries from citizens regarding the legality of certain doctors' practices, the Association conducted an investigation and found no reports of illegal medical activity.

The Association maintains a Control Committee with a mandate lasting until 2028 to inspect facilities within its jurisdiction. Nikolakias noted that while the Panhellenic Medical Association provides an online platform for verifying doctor specialties, the system has experienced technical errors. Specifically, two doctors in Messenia are currently listed as lacking a specialty despite possessing one, due to outdated digital profiles.

Nikolakias clarified the limits of the Association's authority, noting they cannot arbitrarily inspect beauty institutes or centers offering homeopathic or quantum services that do not operate as licensed medical clinics. He emphasized that no medical examinations or practices are permitted within such beauty centers.
