Medical conferences and leadership changes held in Italy

In Montefredane, Irpinia, Dr. Rocco Fusco and his Centro Medico La Salute hosted a conference titled ‘Ambiente, Salute e Geoingegneria: quali soluzioni?’ at the Tenuta Ippocrate. The event focused on the intersection of medicine, environmental protection, biodiversity, agroecology, and nutrition. Speakers included Dr. Gerardo Torre, Dr. Giulia Corazza, lawyer Frida Chialastri, agroecologist Giuseppe Altieri, and biologist Giovanni Moscarella, with journalist Rosa Bianco moderating the discussions.

In Villa San Giovanni, the Italian Federation of Pediatricians (FIMP) Calabria held its 29th regional congress. Dr. Giuseppe Zampogna was elected regional secretary for a four-year term, succeeding Dr. Antonio Gurnari, who was granted honorary presidency. The leadership transition aims to address challenges in territorial pediatrics and improve professional conditions for pediatricians in the Calabria region.
