Medical conferences in Italy focus on pediatric and neonatal care

Two scientific conferences in Italy are addressing advancements and integration in pediatric and neonatal medicine.

In Pozzuoli, the P.O.N.T.E. 2026 event focused on pediatric endocrinology. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between highly specialized hospital care and daily pediatric practice. By fostering dialogue between pediatric endocrinologists, hospital pediatricians, and general practitioners, the event seeks to improve diagnostic accuracy and ensure timely therapeutic pathways for children and adolescents. The program was led by the Pediatric Endocrinology Structure of the AORN Santobono Pausilipon IRCCS in Naples.

In Cetraro, the NEOPED congress, organized by the ASP of Cosenza, focused on neonatology and pediatrics. Presided over by Dr. Antonietta Distilo, the multidisciplinary meeting addressed contemporary challenges such as managing delivery room emergencies and utilizing neonatal ultrasound for early clinical decisions. The congress emphasized the importance of strengthening the collaboration between hospitals and local territories to improve the quality of care for young patients and their families.
