Medical congresses and health symposiums held in Diyarbakır and Ünye

Medical professionals and academics are gathering in Turkey for various regional health symposiums and congresses.

In Diyarbakır, the 5th Eastern Internal Medicine Congress, organized by the Southeast Internal Medicine Association, has commenced. The event features 13 sessions covering topics such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and cholesterol. The congress aims to facilitate the exchange of current medical information among specialists and transfer professional knowledge to the next generation of physicians. Additionally, a specialized training program has been prepared for approximately 100 family physicians to strengthen cooperation between family health centers and internal medicine specialists.

In Ünye, the first medical symposium in the district was held at the Ünye Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, organized by Özel Çakırtepe Hospital. The symposium focused on cardiology and heart diseases to raise awareness regarding early diagnosis and treatment. Presentations included discussions on evidence-based medicine, pediatric heart disease, the connection between heart and mental health, and the role of virtual angiography and CT scans in clinical decision-making.
