Medical Council of Iran urges judiciary to crack down on illegal medical advertising

Mohammad Raisizadeh, head of the Medical Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has called on the judiciary to take serious action against unauthorized medical interventions and illegal advertising. He noted that a comprehensive set of health advertising regulations has been finalized and distributed to medical council representatives nationwide.

A specialized court and a dedicated deputy have been established to handle cases involving advertising that violates established frameworks. Raisizadeh emphasized that these violations, which include illegal drug advertisements and improper relationships between medical professionals and clinics or pharmacies, damage public trust and the future of the medical profession. He specifically urged the judiciary to address unauthorized interveners who disrupt treatment chains, noting that such actions can turn simple medical issues into untreatable conditions.
