Medical emergencies reported in Greece involving insect allergy and fall
Two separate medical emergencies have been reported in Greece. In one incident, a 50-year-old man required urgent hospitalization after being bitten on the head by a large insect, known locally as a 'skourkos' or 'sersergi'. The man suffered a severe allergic reaction, necessitating emergency intervention by medical staff and transport via EKAB ambulance to a hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.
In a separate event in Chalkida, a 78-year-old man fell from the third floor of an apartment building on Sunday morning. The man landed in an open area of the building and sustained serious injuries across his body. Emergency services responded to the scene, and he was transferred to Chalkida Hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall.
