Medical Facilities and Surgery Partners report Q2 financial results

Medical Facilities and Surgery Partners have released their second-quarter financial results, showing varying trends in revenue and profitability within the surgical services sector.

Medical Facilities reported a 7.8% increase in quarterly revenue, totaling $63.1 million. This growth was driven by a shift toward higher-value orthopedic and spine procedures, which helped offset a 2.3% decline in total surgical case volume. Income from operations rose 9.4% to $9.6 million, while EBITDA increased 7.1% to $12.5 million. The company noted a decline in pain-management cases at Arkansas Surgical Hospital but expects new physician recruitment to support future volumes.

Surgery Partners reported second-quarter revenue of $848.9 million, a 2.7% increase year-over-year. However, the company saw its net loss widen to $15.0 million, compared to a $2.5 million loss in the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA declined to $125.2 million from $129.0 million in the prior-year quarter. Despite these losses, the company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, projecting revenue between $3.35 billion and $3.45 billion and Adjusted EBITDA of at least $530 million.
