Medical facilities expand in Colombia and Dominican Republic

In Colombia, the specialized institution Servid, Salud Integral, has inaugurated new facilities and received health authorization for 18 additional hospital beds. This expansion aims to address the increasing demand for mental health and addiction treatment from local, national, and international patients. The institution operates across two locations: Medellín and the Oriente Antioqueño region. Since 2014, Servid has treated more than 5,000 patients using an interdisciplinary model focused on diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

In the Dominican Republic, the Spine Center has opened a new facility at BlueMall Santo Domingo. Dominican Public Health Minister Víctor Elías Atallah Lajam attended the inauguration, noting that the center’s advanced technology for treating spinal conditions will help reduce the need for patients to travel abroad for specialized care. The center was founded by spinal surgeons to address common and disabling vertebral ailments through high-tech diagnostic and treatment services.
