Medical incidents reported at hospitals in Olsztyn and Wrocław

Two separate medical incidents involving children have been reported at Polish hospitals.

In Olsztyn, a five-year-old boy was treated at the Wojewódzki Specjalistyczny Szpital Dziecięcy after a fly became lodged in his ear. An otolaryngologist successfully removed the insect using specialized forceps and a suction device, preventing potential damage to the ear canal or eardrum.

In Wrocław, a mother reported an eighteen-hour delay at the Uniwersytecki Szpital Kliniczny. After arriving with her sick son, the family waited in the hallway for medical consultation. The mother alleged that hospital staff had mistakenly marked them as absent in the system, causing them to be removed from the waiting list for a neurologist. The hospital spokesperson stated that medical procedures were followed correctly and attributed the delays to a high volume of patients.
