Medical infrastructure projects advance in Bielsko-Biała and Nowy Sącz

Several medical infrastructure projects are advancing in Poland. In Bielsko-Biała, the Provincial Hospital is undertaking a modernization of its helicopter landing pad near the Emergency Department. Funded by the Medical Fund, the project aims to ensure safe and rapid air transport for life-threatening cases. The upgrades include resurfacing access roads, modernizing lighting and electrical installations, and improving safety markings. The work is scheduled for the first through fourth quarters of 2026, which will allow the Air Ambulance Service to operate 24/7, even in difficult weather conditions.

In Nowy Sącz, the Jędrzej Śniadecki Specialist Hospital has received building permission for a new Care and Rehabilitation Center (ZOL). The facility is planned to be built on the site of a former server room and is intended for patients who require round-the-clock care and rehabilitation rather than acute hospital treatment. While the formal permit has been secured, the project now moves into a phase of seeking necessary funding to cover construction and equipment costs.
