Medical Japan Tokyo showcases AI and smart healthcare innovations

The Medical Japan Tokyo exhibition recently showcased significant advancements in digital healthcare, focusing on AI-driven solutions and smart medical management to address global aging trends.

Sixteen Taiwanese companies, participating under the ‘Taiwan Excellence’ banner, presented 31 innovative solutions across three main themes: smart medical technology, health care, and AI application/medical platform management. Featured companies included Advantech, ITECH, and others, offering products ranging from AI medical computing systems and surgical navigation equipment to smart nursing beds and rehabilitation aids.

In the startup sector, GENSHI AI reported high interest in its ‘MedLocal’ platform, an entirely offline medical AI system designed to prevent data leaks during cyberattacks. The system uses a compact, on-site AI server to process text, voice, and images without an internet connection. Additionally, the company’s ‘GENSHI Voice’—a medical-grade voice recognition tool—attracted attention for its ability to transcribe and summarize clinical conversations at a competitive price point.
