Medical orders in Ferrara and Piacenza welcome new professionals

Medical professional orders in Ferrara and Piacenza recently held ceremonies to welcome new members and celebrate the medical profession.

In Ferrara, the 26th Physician's Day saw 198 new registrants, including 192 physicians and 6 dentists, who took the Hippocratic Oath. The event also honored the memory of three deceased local doctors: Luca Borgatti, Michele Castelli, and Pio Maniscalco.

In Piacenza, the 13th Physician and Dentist Day included the professional oath of 31 new members, consisting of 26 physicians and 5 dentists. During the ceremony, Augusto Pagani, president of the Piacenza Order, highlighted systemic challenges in the healthcare sector, noting that medical staff are facing increased workloads due to an aging population and a shortage of doctors and nurses.
