In Mexico, the Hospital de la Niñez Morelense (HNM) recognized its Hemato-Oncology staff for their dedication to treating children with cancer. During ‘September: Golden Month,’ an initiative to raise awareness for pediatric cancer, seven nurses were honored for their work. Additionally, six nurses received recognition for completing the PEQUE educational program, which focuses on chemotherapy education for nursing units. HNM Director Jorge Israel Hernández Blanquel praised the medical and nursing teams for their support of patients and families.
In Venezuela, the Hospital Universitario de Maracaibo graduated 119 new technicians and assistants from the 2026 cohort. The graduates received certifications in several specialized areas, including patient transfer assistance, sterilization and disinfection, surgical instrumentation, medical records and health statistics, and radiotherapy assistance. The training programs, supported by the Universidad de las Ciencias de la Salud, aim to enhance the technical skills of hospital staff while providing professional tools to members of the surrounding community.
