Medical resident fails 2,000 euro question on German game show

During an episode of the game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ aired on Germany's RTL, medical resident Franziska Burkhardt from Lubeck failed to answer a 2,000 euro question regarding the 2026 World Cup mascots.

The question asked which animal was not among the mascots for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico. The options included a jaguar, a moose, a bald eagle, and a koala.

Despite receiving hints from host Gunther Jauch and using a lifeline to call a relative, Burkhardt was unable to identify the correct answer. The relative provided incorrect information, suggesting the koala originated from South America rather than Australia. Burkhardt left the show with 500 euros.
