Medical student Thainá Barros honors late father

Thainá Barros, a medical student at the Federal University of Acre (Ufac), shared a moving tribute to her late father on social media. Now halfway through her degree, Barros reflected on the impact of a book about astronomy her father purchased for her during her childhood.

Barros recalled that her father, who worked as a janitor at a market in Rio Branco, used his limited savings to fulfill her request for the book. She noted that despite his difficulty pronouncing the word 'astronomy' at the time, he went out of his way to find it for her. The gesture remains a significant memory in her academic and personal journey.
