Medical supplies stolen during pilgrimage recovered in Libertador General San Martín

Medical supplies and equipment stolen from a physician during a pilgrimage in Libertador General San Martín have been recovered. The incident occurred on September 9, 2026, involving a medical professional from the Salta province who was providing assistance to pilgrims.

The stolen bag contained various first aid supplies, including a professional seal, stethoscope, syringes, gauze, cotton, masks, hydrogen peroxide, medication ampoules, and eye drops.

Following a report to the San Pedro Criminal Investigation Prosecutor's Office, authorities located the items after an individual informed the police that the supplies belonged to the doctor. The items were voluntarily surrendered to the 39th Precinct and subsequently returned to the owner. Prosecutor Ernesto Lian Resúa is leading the ongoing investigation to identify those responsible for the theft.
