Medical teams perform complex heart surgeries and life-saving procedures

Medical teams have achieved significant surgical successes in separate complex cases. At the University of Jordan Hospital, specialists performed a complex open-heart surgery on a woman in her fifties. The patient suffered from an extensive aortic dissection extending from the aortic arch to the ascending aorta and the aortic valve. Due to the complexity and location of the dissection, interventional procedures were not feasible, requiring reconstructive surgery led by Dr. Yousef Zreikat and Dr. Amjad Bani Hani.

In a separate event, medical staff at Ashmoun General Hospital in Egypt successfully saved a patient who experienced five consecutive cardiac arrests caused by a massive pulmonary embolism. After the patient presented with dizziness, medical imaging revealed a large clot obstructing blood flow to the lungs. Doctors utilized thrombolytic therapy to dissolve the clot, successfully restoring blood flow and stabilizing the patient's condition.
