Medical training programs expand in Argentina and Spain
Medical training programs are expanding in different regions. In Mar de Ajó, Argentina, the Municipal Hospital has welcomed two new resident doctors, Dr. Agustina Chirico in internal medicine and Lucila Mamani in intensive care. The hospital has provided professional health training since 2015. Local authorities emphasized that medical training should align with community needs and serve as a tool for local professional development and public service strengthening.
In La Ribera, Spain, the Health Department is hosting 609 students for the 2026-2027 course. These students are enrolled in Medicine, Nursing, and Physiotherapy programs, conducting clinical training at the La Ribera University Hospital and primary care centers. The medical program includes both curricular practices for sixth-year students and extracurricular stays for junior students. Medical Director José Mínguez noted that the program offers a wide range of specialties and personalized supervision by specialist physicians.
