Medicana Health Group introduces scar‑free robotic V‑NOTES gynecologic surgery in Turkey

Medicana Sağlık Grubu’s Women’s Health Department has begun offering the robotic‑assisted V‑NOTES technique for gynecologic operations. The method uses the vagina as a natural surgical entry point, eliminating any abdominal incision.

Dr. Mustafa Melih Erkan explained that the approach reduces tissue damage, minimizes postoperative pain and eliminates visible scarring. Patients can often be discharged within six to eight hours and return to daily activities quickly. The technique is applied to procedures such as hysterectomy, ovarian surgery, ectopic‑pregnancy removal, myomectomy and pelvic organ prolapse repairs.
