MEDIF exhibition at Rome's Vittoriano exceeds 250,000 visitors
The MEDIF (Mostra degli Esuli Dalmati, Istriani e Fiumani) exhibition in the Vittoriano's Sala del Grottone has attracted more than 250,000 visitors in its first nine months. Launched on 24 October 2025 under Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli, the digital, multilingual display chronicles the history of Dalmatian, Istrian and Fiuman exiles, linking the narrative to the Museum of the Risorgimento and the legacy of irredentist hero Nazario Sauro.
The free‑access exhibit is fully digitised, offering texts in Italian, English, Slovene and Croatian, and allows visitors to explore the content via interactive monitors. It has been visited by President Sergio Mattarella and other senior ministers, and will remain in place for at least three more years with periodic updates.
