Al-Madinah hosts art exhibition and interactive museum celebrating palm heritage

The Mumtaz al-Madina dates season in Al-Madinah, Saudi Arabia, continues to attract residents and tourists with a series of cultural and interactive activities highlighting the palm tree and dates as symbols of the city’s identity.

The programme includes an art exhibition featuring 36 works by 12 artists, organised around seven themes that trace the life cycle of the palm and its historical, social, economic and cultural significance. An interactive museum called "ذات نخل" (Self Palm) documents the palm’s journey in the region and offers visitors a hands‑on experience of its heritage.

A dedicated children’s pavilion provides educational games and activities that introduce young families to the agricultural and cultural legacy of the palm and dates, reinforcing the link between heritage and community life.
