Medipost appoints former Samsung Biologics VP to lead global expansion

Medipost has appointed Ho-sung Min, former Vice President of Samsung Biologics, as President to spearhead its global business expansion. Following his official appointment through upcoming shareholder and board resolutions, the company will transition to a co-representative management system.

Under this new structure, existing CEO Won-il Oh will focus on domestic operations, including Cartistem, GMP centers, umbilical cord blood, and health functional foods. Ho-sung Min will oversee the global business division, subsidiaries in the United States and Japan, and the CDMO affiliate OmniaBio. He will also serve as the Chairman of the Board to align executive management with long-term global growth strategies.

Min, an expert in gene and cell therapy with experience at Amgen and GenScript ProBio, aims to accelerate the international commercialization of Cartistem. Medipost is currently preparing a Biologics License Application (BLA) in Japan following successful Phase 3 clinical trial results. In the United States, the company has commenced patient dosing for Phase 3 trials, utilizing a single-study approach designed to reduce development costs by 20–30% and shorten the clinical timeline.
