Mediterranean coast of Turkey sees extended summer weather in October

Warm weather and high sea temperatures are extending the tourism season along Turkey's Mediterranean coast into October. In Mersin's Erdemli district, temperatures at Kızkalesi have reached 28 degrees Celsius, attracting families seeking a calmer atmosphere than the peak summer months.

Similarly, in Alanya, Antalya, air temperatures have reached 26 degrees Celsius with sea water temperatures measured at 25 degrees. At Cleopatra Beach, both domestic and foreign tourists continue to utilize the coastline. While meteorological norms suggest a seasonal temperature decrease, the current conditions allow for continued coastal activities and autumn tourism.
