Mediterranean-themed art exhibitions opening in Montenegro and Croatia

Two distinct art exhibitions focusing on maritime and Mediterranean themes are opening in Montenegro and Croatia.

In Montenegro, artist Tamara Anđus is presenting her solo exhibition, ‘Terra. Mare’, at The Chedi Luštica Bay. Anđus, who has previously exhibited in global hubs such as New York, Dubai, and Paris, describes this as a significant return to her roots. Her work explores the duality between ‘land’ (roots and memory) and ‘sea’ (freedom and exploration), featuring vibrant colors inspired by the Mediterranean landscape, including motifs of women, ships, and mountains.

In Croatia, self-taught artist Damir Vrdoljak Mandeta is hosting his exhibition, ‘Šetnja kroz snove’ (A Walk Through Dreams), at the Kranjčar Gallery in Zagreb. Mandeta, a former Olympic-class sailor, incorporates his maritime experiences into a collection of seven sculptures and approximately twenty paintings. The exhibition utilizes diverse materials including wood, metal, and plastic. Proceeds from the sale of his works will be donated to humanitarian causes.
