Medley to relaunch medical support system via new cloud environment

Medley has announced plans to resume partial services for its @link medical institution business support system on October 22, following a recent unauthorized access incident. Rather than restarting the original system, the company will migrate data to a newly constructed environment called “@link Cloud β version.”

The initial phase of the relaunch will include reservation-related functions, patient information management, and examination calendars. However, other features such as the patient-facing @link app, web reservation sites, electronic medical record integration, and web medical questionnaires will remain suspended until further safety checks are completed.

The unauthorized access, discovered on October 11, potentially compromised the personal information of patients across up to 787 medical institutions. Medley is continuing its investigation alongside external specialists, noting that the mix of on-premises and cloud-based systems has extended the verification process. The company plans to refund usage fees for the suspension period by November.
